Windows 7 Is Here!!!

Windows 7 Is Here And You Can Get It Now.

Just Kidding :)

There have been lots or rumors going around about Microsoft’s new operating system. Speculation is running wild on the net – as always. Its pretty obvious that Version 7 is designed to fix most of the problems of Vista – Microsoft does this all of the time – remember Windows Millennium? Well, then again, you probably might not want to remember that :)

New rumors are running around saying that Microsoft will be releasing an early version of Windows 7 before their scheduled 2009 release. I don’t think that’s going to happen, lets not forget, they have allot riding on this, and customers are expecting better results (and stability) than Vista.

Apparently, I’m not the only one with this opinion. Here’s an article from ZDNet’s Ed Bott about the rumors that are floating around Microsoft’s “new pet project”

3D WallPaper Art Update

Hello again,

Here’s another picture (you’ll see it on the upper right of this page and you’ll also see it below) that you can add to your desktop. If you’re new to this site (http://www.3dwallpaperart.com), then a special hello to you and I hope that you enjoy your stay.

I have a number of other images that I’ll be displaying over the next few weeks.

This is really cool – Bionic Vision Contact Lenses

Imagine if you could have bionic eyes that gave you a display overlaid over your vision. You could see information about things that you were looking at, just like the Terminator. It sure would make life more interesting, wouldn’t it? Too bad it’s all a fantasy.

Or is it? Researchers have developed bionic contact lenses that contain tiny electric circuits and LEDs that would allow for just such a display to be possible. You could have a personal heads-up display giving you info at all times, or video game makers could create totally immersive worlds that you view right through your own eyes. The lenses are currently still being worked on, so don’t expect to see them anytime soon, but the technology is there. It’s only a matter of time.

How Cool Is That?!

Grand Theft Auto 4 – I can’t wait !!!

Rockstar Games has said the latest in its Grand Theft Auto franchise will be released worldwide on April 29th, following last year’s high profile delay of the franchise to concentrate on its multi-platform release.

Overarching publisher Take-Two announced the delay in August of last year, two months before its originally planned release date, with chairman Strauss Zelnick pegging the delay on its multi-platform release, saying, “Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms.”

At the time, Take-Two said the game would be released in its second fiscal quarter of 2008, placing the game’s release sometime between February and April – with the new release date coming in directly at the tail end. The title will be released simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Said Rockstar founder and executive producer Sam Houser, “We are so excited to be releasing Grand Theft Auto IV. We’ve pushed ourselves very hard to make something incredible and hope the game sets a new benchmark for interactive entertainment.”

How World of Warcraft Works???

I can’t believe that someone actually wrote an article about how World of Warcraft works. It just sounds crazy – but then again, anything is possible these days.

If games like World of Warcraft and Everquest can actually breakup relationships, then someone writing an article about how World of Warcraft works should be nothing by comparison.

YAHOO! Laying Off Workers???

Apparently yahoo is not making money. They are reportedly suffering from slow income growth – and it seems that they are being beaten down by social networking websites. I personally believe that Google is kicking their butt and they are “felling the pain”.

Google reminds me of Pac-Man – just gobble everything up.

The Race is On. Nintendo Still in the Lead.

The year 2007 belonged to Nintendo.

With a wide assortment of games at the cheapest price, what more could you ask for – and don’t forget, the WiiFit is still on the way.

So the console race now has Nintendo as the leader for 2007 – but the console race is not over.

Will they still be in the lead by the end of 2008 – or will there be a major upset?

Confused about SmartPhones?

Are you as confused about smart phone operating systems as I am? :)

So, what do we have to choose from?

1. BlackBerry OS 4.3

One Laptop Per Child?

Remember the “One Laptop Per Child Project”. The theory was simple. Make sure that every child in the world had access to a computer. In a Utopian society, something like this would be no problem, but in our so-called real world, politics and pride take precedent.

The “One Laptop Per Child Project” is quickly going down the proverbial toilet – and it may not survive the current upheavals that are plaguing it.

Why Bother With Windows Vista?

Quote – “If Windows 7 really is scheduled to make an appearance during the second half of 2009, does this mean that making the move to Vista is now a pointless effort?”

Well … Duh!

I’ve been saying that Windows Vista was crap since the first day that I got my hands on it. My laptop came with Vista. I took it off and replaced it with XP.

I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only person that did that.

I found out – since last year – that another version of Windows was on the way – and now its confirmed. This pattern should seem familiar – remember Windows Millennium?

Words that Inspire

True brilliance, is not a function of understanding one’s view of the world and finding order, logic, and spirituality in it. True brilliance is understanding that your view of order, logic, and spirituality is what created your world – and therefore being forever capable of changing everything.

Oscar Awards for Visual Effects

Its now down to seven films that are contending for the Visual Effects Oscar Award.

“The Bourne Ultimatum”
“Evan Almighty”
“The Golden Compass”
“I Am Legend”
“300″
“Transformers”
“Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End”

“SpiderMan 3″ did not make the list – huh?

Three films from this list will be nominated for final consideration. So who’s gonna be the big winner? On Awards Day, we shall all find out.

PS: I’m rooting for either “300″ or “Transformers” – but we all know how wierd The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences can be.
