Data from market research firm and Famitsu magazine publisher Enterbrain has suggested that sales of the Wii console were almost four times higher than the PlayStation 3 in Japan during February, despite Sony’s console beginning to narrow the gap last autumn.
The success of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Wii Fit were described as the primary reason for the Wii’s increased success, with the former selling 1.33 million units during the month. Wii Fit, which initially went on sale in December, sold 30,311 during the four weeks.
