Games That Should Be For PC

Here’s another example of a game that would really benefit from being on a PC – Armored Core: 4 Answer.

Wolfenstein is Back – AGAIN!!!

I remember the days when I used to play the original “Wolfenstein” games for DOS along with the original “Doom”. Then a few years ago, Id Software released “Return To Castle Wolfenstein” which was allot of fun while it lasted.

Now Wolfenstein is back again, with a heavily modified engine and all new gameplay. No release date is set as yet – but its good to know that the game is currently in full development. This may not be the only announcement from this year’s QuakeCon, but its definitely one of the most anticipated.

How I Love Mass Effect for the PC

Right now I’m Playing Mass Effect for the PC – and it is Absolutely Fantastic !!!

This game should have been for the PC in the first place. Now Mass Effect is in its true home, where it rightfully belongs – the best gaming platform ever, the PC. This game is what “Advent Rising” should have been. The story is fantastic – as I expected from BioWare. They’ve done it again. I thought that I played the best story ever with “Knights Of The Old Republic” – but Mass Effect raised the bar even higher. The control system is fluid – nothing beats a keyboard and mouse. I can’t even imagine trying to play this game with a game controller. Great story, fluid controls, no glitches – what more do you want?

As far as I’m concerned, Bill Gates and his crew stole Gears Of War, Mass Effect and Halo from PC gamers. Mass Effect is a fine example of the many advantages of PC controls and gameplay over consoles – which is exactly why these games should be made for the PC. If you don’t have this game for the PC as yet, what’s wrong with you – go out and get it already !!!

By the way, trying to squeeze Real-Time-Strategy games onto consoles is a stupid idea.

The Hottest PC Games To Look Out For

I’m a PC Gamer, so for this year’s E3 Conference, I looked around for the hottest PC titles that I could get more information about. These are the games that I know I’m gonna get my hands on:

Street Fighter 4, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2, BorderLands, WarHammer 40,000 Dawn Of War – 2, I Am Alive, Red Faction: Guerilla, Prince Of Persia, Dark Void, Command And Conquer: Red Alert 3, Fallout 3.

Note: I would really like to meet the people who run around yelling that PC Gaming is dead – so that I could knock them around with my “Gravity Gun” :) People make games on PCs, so how is PC gaming ever going to die? PC Gaming will never die, it will just get better – and if you want proof, check out some of the upcoming PC game video previews below:

Gaming News – Spore, such a cool game

Talking as part of an in-depth Gamasutra interview, Spore designer and former Civ IV lead Soren Johnson has been discussing the franchise’s path, suggesting “there are definitely long, long-term plans for Spore” beyond its initial September release.

Diablo 3

Blizzard has had gamers waiting for a very long time for Diablo 3 – longer than the wait for StarCraft 2. Well, the wait is almost over – but don’t dare ask Blizzard for a release date.

Bionic Commando

The remaking of an old classic. This vintage game has a much better chance of longevity and will definetely bring in new fans – unlike some other games, like Duke Nukem Forever (gamers, don’t hold your breath for that one).

StarCraft 2

Many people around the world have been waiting to see this game come to light for a very long time. It’s good to know that we would not have to wait long now. Well, as Blizzard always says, “It will be done when its done”.

Take 2, Levine, Max Payne 3 and BioShock 2

In its call with investors following its Q1 results, Take-Two execs confirmed that BioShock producer was still involved in the 2K Marin sequel, that 2009 would bring another sequel to a triple-A Rockstar game, and hinted at the possibility of a new Max Payne title as film production ramps up.

Asked why the BioShock IP had moved to 2K Marin, and whether Levine was still attached to the project, company CEO Ben Feder said that Levine was a “terrific asset to the company,” and that he was working on both BioShock 2 and a different IP.

2K Boston and Australia were both working on a new title, he said, but that was “not to say Ken is not involved” in the continuation of the BioShock franchise.

"Titan Quest" Goes Down

Titan Quest creator Iron Lore Entertainment has announced that it has closed its doors and ceased game development, due to lack of funding for its next project.

The Maynard, MA-based developer was founded in October 2000 by Age Of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan and Paul Chieffo.

The company is chiefly known for creating the THQ-published PC action-RPG title Titan Quest, which helped it to win Best New Studio at the 2006 Game Developers Choice Awards.

It had more recently worked on Dawn Of War: Soulstorm, an expansion for the Relic-developed PC real-time strategy series which is due out early next month.

Most anticipated games for 2008

2007 was a great year for pc and console games – but since I’m a PC gamer, I don’t pay close attention to console games.

However, here’s a list of the most anticipated games for 2008

10. Halo Wars
9. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
8. Resident Evil 5
7. Fallout 3
6. Spore
5. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
3. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
2. Grand Theft Auto IV

… and the most anticipated game for 2008 is …

… and one of my all-time favorite games …

Portal Takes Game Of The Year At 2008 Choice Awards

Valve’s Portal has picked up three awards at the 8th annual Game Developers Choice Awards, including Innovation, Game Design and Game of the Year, as 2K Boston/2K Australia’s BioShock made off with another three, and Crackdown, Crysis and Fl0w took their own top honors.

Sins of A Solar Empire

Sins of A Solar Empire is apparently making new waves in the Real Time Strategy gaming universe. Here’s just one of the reviews I’ve read about this cool game. Nothing beats the sheer joy of bombing a planet back to the Stone Age! AHH HA HA HA HA!!! (evil laugh of a galactic tyrant)

Grand Theft Auto 4 – I can’t wait !!!

Rockstar Games has said the latest in its Grand Theft Auto franchise will be released worldwide on April 29th, following last year’s high profile delay of the franchise to concentrate on its multi-platform release.

Overarching publisher Take-Two announced the delay in August of last year, two months before its originally planned release date, with chairman Strauss Zelnick pegging the delay on its multi-platform release, saying, “Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms.”

At the time, Take-Two said the game would be released in its second fiscal quarter of 2008, placing the game’s release sometime between February and April – with the new release date coming in directly at the tail end. The title will be released simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Said Rockstar founder and executive producer Sam Houser, “We are so excited to be releasing Grand Theft Auto IV. We’ve pushed ourselves very hard to make something incredible and hope the game sets a new benchmark for interactive entertainment.”

How World of Warcraft Works???

I can’t believe that someone actually wrote an article about how World of Warcraft works. It just sounds crazy – but then again, anything is possible these days.

If games like World of Warcraft and Everquest can actually breakup relationships, then someone writing an article about how World of Warcraft works should be nothing by comparison.
